Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2019

I kind of missed it this year. I was presenting at YGLF and was invested in the other talks, so my annual tweet thread of my accessibility posts since the previous GAAD did not come out on time. Instead I filled up timelines last night.

Below are eight tweets with two links each, though I failed to pick up from the thread I twaught last year. They are all part of the general #GAAD hashtag on Twitter, so you may have seen some of them whiz by your timeline if you were following it.

Note that I replaced all the t.co links in the embedded tweets with the proper URLs, so at least for those with JavaScript disabled you can still visit the links without a Twitter round-trip.

  • The form doesn’t support Markdown.
  • This form allows limited HTML.
  • Allowed HTML elements are <a href>, <blockquote>, <code>, <del>, <em>, <ins>, <q>, <strong>, and maybe some others. WordPress is fickle and randomly blocks or allows some.
  • If you want to include HTML examples in your comment, then HTML encode them. E.g. <code>&lt;div&gt;</code> (you can copy and paste that chunk).
