Speaking at Accessibility Camp NYC

Next Saturday (September 26 from 9am to 5pm EST) I’ll be visiting Brooklyn to kick off the day for New York City’s inaugural accessibility camp.

I’ll have a half hour, starting at 10am EST, to convince you why accessibility is and should be self-serving, and why we’ll all be better off for it. The full schedule:

If you want to come, tickets are cheap and still available (though I hope my announcement drains that number rapidly). The event will be held at:

NYU ABILITY Lab at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering
2 MetroTech Roadway
8th Floor
Brooklyn, NY 11201

I’ve embedded a map for your, or my, use.

  • The form doesn’t support Markdown.
  • This form allows limited HTML.
  • Allowed HTML elements are <a href>, <blockquote>, <code>, <del>, <em>, <ins>, <q>, <strong>, and maybe some others. WordPress is fickle and randomly blocks or allows some.
  • If you want to include HTML examples in your comment, then HTML encode them. E.g. <code>&lt;div&gt;</code> (you can copy and paste that chunk).
