People are missing that this is parody. It is meant to demonstrate how easy it is to style links and buttons to look however you want. If someone complains buttons are too hard to style, maybe send them this tutorial.
If you are annoyed the text in the button does not wrap with the rest of the text, then you are annoyed at Chrome, Safari, and Firefox for buttons breaking when display: contents is used, as it would otherwise do what you want.

Anyway, use the right element for the job, style appropriately, and don’t role-up a button into a link or vice versa.
